Inspiration

Maude was inspired by the Gospel of the Visitation,
of Mary visiting her cousin Elizabeth. (Luke 1:39-45)

Our charism is that of going out in the spirit of the Visitation to minister to families – providing practical support, education, nurturing and care.

Since 1930, the sisters have worked in many areas providing a variety of ministries – home service, mothercraft training, post-natal care, care of children, respite care at Bendigo & Croydon; holiday flats, support to families living in the high rise flats at Flemington & Kensington, education in the domestic arts, providing talks on mother & child care in country Victoria, giving retreats, etc.
