Reflection on the Gospel-2nd Sunday of Advent Year A (Matthew 3:1-12)

His food and clothing are desert-derived His voice is heard in the desert of Judea. The mention of Judea evokes the memory of Jesus’ birth notice ‘in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king’ (2:2).
