Young Mercy Links SA Host a Feast of Cultures

Young Mercy Links South Australia hosts a Multicultural Long Table Lunch fundraiser

On Saturday, November 23, Young Mercy Links South Australia volunteers put together a feast of cultures at their Multicultural Long Table Lunch fundraiser held at Mercy Centre, Mile End in Adelaide.

The meal was prepared by volunteers and members of the refugee community in Adelaide that the Young Mercy Links SA group help to support together with the Circle of Friends.

L to R: Ada Snell, Bridie Squire, Isabel Salter, Era Ayuandira

All proceeds from the lunch are going towards Sr Denise Coghlan’s housing project work with the Jesuit Refugees Service in Siem Reap, Cambodia providing assistance for people impacted by landmines and living with disabilities.

Seven members of YMLSA, Coordinator Gaby Kinsman, Meredith Evans RSM and two companions John and Anne Haren will be departing on December 9 for their two week Cambodia Immersion. The group has raised $6,000 for this project this year and are very excited to return to Cambodia for the second time!
