Sacred Heart College Kyneton Celebrates ‘Mercy Day’
A colourful end to Term 2 at Sacred Heart College Kyneton
We were blessed with perfect weather for the College’s Mercy Day celebrations on the last day of Term 2. Mercy Day is a day to have some fun, raise money for those in need and also a time to reflect on our foundresses, Catherine McAuley and Ursula Frayne – two amazing women who had the vision, faith and talent to put into place the foundations for the vibrant school we enjoy today.
Mercy Day events included the Cross Country Run/Walk and the Colour Run, followed by a fabulous lunch with music and activities, culminating in the House Competitions. All money raised on Mercy Day is donated to Mercy Works, the charity arm of the Mercy Sisters. They use this money to develop health, education and support services for the poorest of the poor. Congratulations to Chisholm House on winning the Cross Country event and thank you to all students, staff and parents who were involved in the running of this fantastic event.
