Rockhampton, Townsville, West Perth elect new leaders

September has been a busy month for Congregational Chapters across the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia. Rockhampton, Townsville and West Perth Congregations recently held Chapters and elected new leadership teams.

 

ROCKHAMPTON Sisters of Mercy elected their new Leadership Team on September 18. The team includes Sisters Carolyn Hunt, Kerry-Ann Sullivan, Desma Clarke, Berneice Loch (Congregation Leader) and Beverley Strong, and they will take office on December 9, 2006. From September 19-23, WEST PERTH Sisters of Mercy held their Congregation Chapter of Affairs and Elections. The Chapter re-elected Sister Beverley Stott as Congregation Leader and elected a council of four, Sisters Joan Buckham, Mary O’Connor, Clare Rafferty and Carmel Wringe.

 

In the spirit of reconfiguring, Sister Breda O’Reilly RSM, Congregation Leader of Perth attended the Chapter as observer, and through the generosity of the Melbourne Congregation, Sister Joan Wilson RSM was engaged as minutes secretary.
