Outstanding Mercy Educator receives National Fellowship

Educational leader, Dr (Sr)Berenice Kerr RSM has been awarded a Fellowship of the Australian College of Educators.

Sister Berenice received her secondary education at St Mary’s College in Grafton and later taught in Grafton at St Mary’s College, Holy Spirit College where she was deputy and then Principal and Catherine McAuley College.  Her tertiary studies were done at  UNE Armidale where she was awarded First Class Honours and the University medal. Later she was awarded a D.Phil. in History at Oxford University, UK.

As well as teaching, Sister Berenice has worked as a consultant for the Catholic Education Office in Lismore and currently is based in Lismore; she works throughout Australia as a Consultant in Education and is a member of the Catholic Education Commission.
