New Video Highlights ‘Simple Daily Gestures’

To coincide with this first Just Mercy of 2020, a video has been created featuring sisters and staff of the Institute visually demonstrating the behaviours that were identified in the Simple Daily Gestures booklet.

Since the booklet was launched in late 2017, Sisters and staff of the institute have been very active in promoting and discussing ways in how we as individuals can all make a contribution to the Institutes Sustainable Living policy.

You would have no doubt become aware in the media of recent months that Climate Change is a topic of the day every day, so as an institute we are looking for ways we can limit our impact upon the environment across all of the themes of our policy.

The video is designed to be a useful resource, which hopefully may encourage those who view it to adopt some of the practices in their everyday lives.

The video was premiered at the Mercy Hub in Carlton North last week where it was shown to a meeting of Managers and some members of the Institute Leadership Team.

Further information about the Institute’s sustainability initiatives is available on the Institute website – https://institute.mercy.org.au/mercy-in-action/we-respond/our-environment/

Institute Leader, Eveline Crotty RSM with Environmental Sustainability Manager, Chris Hill.

Some members of the Institute Leadership Team and Managers view the new video for the first time at the Mercy Hub in Carlton North.
