Mercy Works | Thank You For Joining Us!

This year has been full of firsts and by far the most exciting was holding our very first ‘Virtual’ Friends Gathering on Tuesday 14th July.

With over 90 friends in attendance, we think it is safe to say that this virtual gathering was a great success. While we couldn’t see you all in person, it was great to see your beautiful faces lighting up our screens.

This year, Mercy Works made the decision to postpone our Annual Friends Gathering for 2020. This decision was made in line with current health advice and the increased risk of potential spread of a virus that we are battling as a global community to contain. Online communication has become more and more crucial in the way we communicate in the past 6 months that it felt almost natural for Mercy Works to shift gears and turn our once face-to-face gathering into a virtual gathering.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support that you, our Friends, give Mercy Works not only on Tuesday but every day. We are very grateful for each of you and for those who learnt about Mercy Works for the first time – Welcome to Mercy Works!

For those who missed out or would like to watch our Mercy Works Zoom Gathering again please click on the play arrow below.

We would like to thank our Host, John Rochester, Communications Manager for the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea for all his help and support to get this event together.

Your support of Mercy Works enables disadvantaged and displaced people and communities across Australia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste. Thank you for making that possible.

We look forward to being able to welcome you to our Friends Gathering when it is safe to do so again.
