In mid-June Maclean Music Academy, which is a ministry of the Institute, participated in the annual Lower Clarence Music Eisteddfod.

For eight days students and teachers presented solo and group items in piano, piano accordion, violin, cello, double bass, ukulele, trumpet, clarinet, school group instrumental items, school and community choral items and solo vocal items. Participants ranged in age from four to eighty plus.

Teachers prepared a total of approximately 350 items and a few more were presented at the final concert.

This annual event provides a platform for students to present and improve their performance skills and gives teachers an opportunity to widen their repertoire and to trial new work with their students.
