Institute Endorses Concerns About Increasing Australian Weapon Exports

The Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea has endorsed concerns raised by the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart in relation to recent plans outlined by the Australian Government to increase weapons exports.

The Institute joins in calling on the Australian Government to prioritise education, health and good governance initiatives among the deprived peoples and nations of the world, rather than spending billions of Australian people’s dollars on producing and exporting the means of destruction.
