Gunnedah sister to join Mercy International Centre

Sister Christine Belling (pictured right) of the Gunnedah Congregation will join the staff of Mercy International Centre (MIC) in Dublin later this year. Christine says it has been her dream to be a member of the MIC Team since spending six months as a volunteer there in the summer of 1997.

Catherine McAuley could never have imagined that 180 years after the House of Mercy was opened that Sisters of Mercy from around the world would be returning and ministering to the many guests and pilgrims visiting Mercy International Centre (MIC).

Sister Christine Belling of the Gunnedah Congregation will be joining the Team at MIC from December 1, 2007 for a period of two years.

Christine says it has been her dream to be a member of the MIC Team since her time as a volunteer for six months in the summer of 1997. The links with one another continue and many sisters, associates, co-workers and friends visit MIC to enrich their lives and experience the charism of Mercy within the hallowed walls and grounds of MIC, affectionately known to many as Baggot Street.
