On the 15th July Young Mercy Links members Cassandra Prinzi and Nikita Castellano hosted a number of people at the Mercy Action and Spirituality Hub for an Art Auction.

The girls had a vision of using the event to showcase the talents of artists they know (and included their own works), to raise awareness about the work of ISMAPNG in Papua New Guinea and to raise funds to donate to Mercy Works for their efforts there.

Nikita and Cassandra worked tirelessly to garner support from local artists, create a welcoming and inviting gallery space and to organise a silent auction of the pieces.

The evening was very well attended, with family, friends, people within ISMAPNG and Mercy Education and passers by coming in from the cold to enjoy Mercy hospitality and enjoy the evening.

Sr. Marg Ryan presented to the group, and there was much interest in the stories and history that she shared.

The girls raised $2018 for Mercy Works in Papua New Guinea, and are already thinking about their next artistic venture!

Thanks to all who attended and supported the girls, especially the artists who selflessly donated their work, Rachel Prince for the role she played in supporting and mentoring Nikita and Cassandra and the other YML members who helped out.
