“˜A milestone in our reconfiguring journey’

Early in February 2011, 44 members of the Adelaide congregation gathered for a weekend to share ‘Our call to dynamic conversion’.

We met in the beautiful setting of the Passionist Monastery at Glen Osmond where a window opened to sturdy gum trees and a Sacred Garden. A labyrinth was set on the lawn for us to walk our personal meditation.

We invited Susan Pollard rsj and Therese Carroll rsj to mentor us in the journey of discovering our personal and collective shadow within the beauty of our relationships together and in the world at this time of risk and opportunity of reconfiguring.

We walked together sharing what deflates us a group and what inspires us in our life together.

Our congregation leader, Helen Owens, saw this time as a ‘milestone in our reconfiguring journey’.

The power of this moment is rich with potential.

Where possible, we will continue to meet together with friends, communities and cluster groups using the tools of this weekend to create inspiration in us in our personal work, our faith life and our work in the world.
