The Australian Human Rights Commission’s report, The Forgotten Children , has made public the devastating horrors that child asylum seekers have experienced in Australian detention centres. ISMAPNG has joined over 200 organisations calling for the immediate release of children from immigration detention.

While managing Mercy Care refuge for women, Sister of Mercy Angela Reed came to the belief that some of the women had been trafficked into Australia. Now she is certain.

In this Year of Consecrated Life, Julie O’Brien rsm draws our attention to the immense gift religious life is for the Church and world.

Elaine Wainwright rsm recently retired from her position as Professor of Theology at the University of Auckland, a position she held with distinction since 2002.

In 2013, the Mercy Ethos Office in conjunction with Fraynework Multimedia, developed a DVD resource titled 'The Life of Catherine McAuley'. This has now been remade for use in Papua New Guinea.

The first week in October 2014 marked the beginning of the Twelfth Australasian Mercy Secondary Schools Association Conference with delegates arriving at Amberley Retreat Centre in the Lower Plenty bushland in Melbourne.
